The game has speed, it just takes a little more effort at getting and maintaining that speed, i.e using parkour and mastering the infinite spin dash, unlike the boost formula. ![]() The controls are the most solid in a sonic game since the genesis titles, it just takes a little getting used to since how poorly the contols are explained like i mentioned above. Many of which are 'shaky controls' 'not enough speed' and 'a mario galaxy ripoff' ![]() The game definitely doesnt deserve the many criticisms thrown at it. I would suggest experimenting wih the controls yourself in the first world, or just read a guide on steam. Also the massive difficulty spike in the last world. Now on to the critism i have with the game ,the only valid critism i have with the game is how poorly the mechanics are explained, and how underused the parkour system was, I mean it took me till i got to the third zone to realise that sonic can spin dash indefinitely or that you could charge your homing attack. Just don't expect it play like generations. If you enjoyed the genesis titles, and enjoy 3d platformers overall, you'll like this game. ![]() The game was very enjoyable platformer in the vein of the classics with momentum based platforming and exploration rather than just dashing from point A to point B in the most mundane way possible. The game is worth playing, while generations was overwhelmingly 2.5, lost world is largly a 3d platformet with 2d zones sprinkled in.
